NASA International Space Apps Challenge – Youth Edition

We're Live!

Have you ever heard of or joined a hackathon? Are you under the age of 18 and curious to see how far you can take your unique set of skills and interests to solve real-world problems?

The NASA International Space Apps Challenge (Space Apps) is an international hackathon for coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, technologists, and innovators. During the hackathon, teams from cities around the world engage the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and its Space Agency Partners’ free and open data to address real-world problems on Earth and in space. We support teams who work on challenges hosted by either NASA or the Canadian Space Agency!

We are excited to be a local host of the annual of the NASA Space Apps Challenge! We have been hosting annually since 2020. Our event in Mississauga is perfect for youth (Gr. 1 – 12) who may not have any prior hackathon experience but are curious and want to solve space challenges. We particularly gather mentors and resources for youth to access. We want to give everybody an opportunity to tackle a hackathon challenge.

This event runs over a full weekend in early October. It will be a fun weekend of creating, learning, and problem solving while making new friends, and meeting many space or STEAM professionals.

Any questions can be enquired at programs@indusspace.ca. Further updates will be shared with those who register as we get closer to the event.
