PD Day Camp: Understanding your Carbon Footprint

These sessions will introduce students to human impact on the environment by exploring the concept of a “carbon footprint” and the various ways in which they use power in their day-to-day lives. This theme is part of our GenAction Program Series https://indusspace.ca/climate/.
Senior Session (Grades 6-8): Urbanization & The Carbon Footprint
This activity will feature the same basic activity but go into greater detail than the junior version. Following introductory quiz questions, students will explore the various factors that go into designing a more climate-conscious city, including infrastructure, housing, nature, and transportation. Following this, students can use a space on Canva to design their own carbon footprint, following a specific template that outlines all the different energy considerations that go into city design.
